An Evening in Ibaco.

Everytime I went passed this Outlet near the BDA Complex near Banashankari I always wondered what Ibaco means. And also I wanted how these ice creams are. So a few days ago I decided to go and check for myself.

First this place was not crowded, there was a couple having there ice cream, So I went in and was surprised as they have a lot to offer in terms of flavors. So as usual I walked up to the staff, 2 of them were who greeted me with big broad smiles. I told them I am confused about what to order. He asked me my 

preference I told something on the lines of coffee.

Lohit one of the staff suggested I go for Tiramisu along with Caramel sauce. I am a big fan of Tiramisu cake so was really expecting a lot of this ice cream and it din’t disappoint me. Everything from the coffee flavor to the taste of Choco powder was perfect and the caramel sauce just added to that extra something in to this already super flavor.

Next I saw something called as the Choco-mint, so I decided to check that out. It’s a mixture of Chocolate and mint in perfect combination, it is presented with a decoration of Chocolate sauce along with the toppings of nuts and chocolate buttons and A cherry on top of it. Perfect way to present an Ice cream.

As I was relishing this amazing combination of chocolate and mint my I could notice something called the Ice cream cake, I went and asked them what is this new “term” called the ice cream cake. The staff patiently explained about this.

So what is a n Ice cream cake, as you might have guessed it is an ice cream in the shape of a cake. It is made using Biscuits and cream and it is not like other cakes as not much of baking is required here. Only the cake portion is baked and is added along with the layers of ice cream and they are frozen together. 

A Ice cream cake generally as different layers, Starting from bottom up they are :-

• Sponge cake.
• Cold fudge
• Almond crunch ice cream
• butterscotch Bliss ice cream
• Cold fudge
• Sponge cake
• White chocolate shave cream
• Whipped cream
• Cherry on top.
• The sides are perfectly coated with almond slices.

These Cake Ice creams comes in two different sizes. the small one which serves up to 6 people and the bigger one which can serve 10 people. I think it can server more people than what they say actually.

I am going back to this place again and hope to try different flavors. Also will probably ask them what Ibaco means. If u manage to go and check this outlet yourself let me know how you felt about this and also the meaning of Ibaco.
